Work with children
I began my career in 2013 in the Fairmont, MN public school system. Since then I have had the privilege of successfully advocating for programs; creating multi-modal systems capable of simultaneously providing children with educational, emotional, and behavioral support; providing training to educators; evaluating classroom behavior management programs; and providing therapeutic services to infants who are in great psychological pain due to trauma and exhibiting significant behavioral difficulties.
Work with adults
I have worked in residential programs, day treatment centers, clinics, independent practice and with the Florida Department of Corrections, evaluating recently released individuals with serious mental health disorders.
Training Services
I train educators and mental health professionals in trauma-informed care, behavior management, emotional regulation, connectedness, socialization, multicultural competence, counseling theory, and self-care.
I train tutors, providing different tools to address the effects of developmental trauma, communication and interpersonal care.
Methodology of work
The methodology is adapted according to the patient. My practice is based on a wide range of theories and strategies, ranging from cognitive behavioral therapy, Gestalt and Adlerian theory, to the less known polyvagal theory, logotherapy and dialectical behavioral therapy.
